US Trip 2015: Amsterdam!

This school year, Upper School students went visiting the beautiful city of Amsterdam.

On their way to Amsterdam, they visited the world famous Delta Works in the province of Zeeland, the coastal fortification project that protects the south of the Netherlands against flooding.

The stay in Amsterdam itself was packed with relaxing and sporty as well as with cultural activities such as guided tours visits to the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw where the students also enjoyed a beautiful lunch concert. The week ended with a whole-day bike trip to the Island of Marken through the magnificent Dutch countryside under a warm October sun.

To conclude this fantastic week, on the way back home, there was also a visit to the the European Space Research and Technology Centre in Noordwijk near Leiden.
