It is with deep sadness that we share the news that our dear friend, colleague and teacher, Mr David Stephenson, passed away this morning.

‘Mr Dave’, as he was affectionately known, joined DVIS in 2009 to set up our EAL Department until he and his wife, Miss Brenda, returned to their home town of Liverpool at the end of June last year.

It would be no exaggeration to say that he was one of the most committed teachers to have passed through our staffroom. To hear him enthusing about his students was to know what true passion is. And on top of it all, he was always great fun! Mr Dave was indeed inspirational and will be long remembered by all of us.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Miss Brenda and the whole family. Mr Dave will be truly missed by everyone who had the privilege to have known him.
