Primary

At the age of 6, Primary education begins.

We ensure that all children feel at home from day one. At Da Vinci, there is a strong emphasis on motivating children to achieve their best at all times, both academically and personally. Because class sizes are limited, all students receive much more individual attention and support.

Curriculum

Primary pupils follow a curriculum based on the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP). Primary Progression Tests are sat in Grades 3-5 and at the end of Grade 6, pupils sit the Cambridge Primary Achievement Tests. Dutch is taught from Grade 3 onwards, and French is introduced in Grade 5. The curriculum is supported by field trips, exhibitions, visiting speakers and whole-school activities days.

Both informal and formal assessments are carried out continuously throughout the school year. Parents are always kept up-to-date with their children’s progress through test cards and termly reports.
